How To Tuesday: How To Get Involved in Community Events

By September 30, 2025No Comments

Community events are at the heart of what makes White House such a special place to live, work, and do business. From festivals and Chamber programs to local school and nonprofit activities, these gatherings bring people together, celebrate our hometown spirit, and create opportunities for businesses and individuals to connect. But sometimes the biggest question is, how do you get involved?

Attend and Show Up

The simplest way to get involved is to attend. Mark your calendar with upcoming Chamber events, festivals, and community activities, and make the effort to show up. Your presence not only supports local businesses and organizations but also gives you the chance to meet neighbors, potential customers, and fellow professionals.

Volunteer Your Time

Events cannot happen without volunteers. Whether it is greeting guests, helping with setup, or serving on a committee, volunteering is one of the best ways to meet new people and make a meaningful contribution. Many of our Chamber events, such as Discover White House or THRIVE, are fueled by community members who raise their hands to help. If you are interested in volunteering, email Mandy at mandy@whitehousechamber.org.

Become a Sponsor or Vendor

Sponsorships and vendor opportunities are excellent ways for businesses to gain visibility while supporting community events. Sponsoring an activity, setting up a booth, or providing giveaways puts your brand directly in front of attendees and shows that your business cares about investing in the community. To learn more about sponsorship opportunities, email Britt at britt@whitehousechamber.org.

Spread the Word

Even if you cannot attend every event, you can still play a role by sharing information on your social media channels, inviting friends, and encouraging your employees or customers to participate. Word-of-mouth and digital promotion go a long way in ensuring that community events are successful.

Partner with the Chamber

The White House Area Chamber of Commerce exists to connect businesses and community members with opportunities. If you are looking for ways to get involved, reach out to us. We will help you find events that align with your interests, whether that means volunteering, sponsoring, or simply attending and enjoying.

Getting involved in community events is about more than just participation. It is about building relationships, strengthening our town, and being part of something bigger. When you invest your time and energy in local events, you are helping White House grow and thrive.
