Chamber launches new website for White House

By March 10, 2017No Comments

We’ve spent the last few months at the Chamber working on ways we can better serve our members and our community. Really, I guess we spend pretty much all of our time on that but this one project is one that we are really excited about and hope you will be too.

Last week we officially launched www.finditinWhiteHouse.com. It is a fantastic website that appeals to our fast paced, visual society and it’s friendly on every platform we’ve tried it on including mobile. FinditinWhiteHouse.com is a photo directory of sorts for our members to market their business or service that provides an excellent, fast access solution for our community and anyone that is looking for something in White House. Every member receives a complimentary photo listing that will link directly back to their website or social media pages. When you visit the home page you can choose from three options: Eat, Shop & Play; Life & Home; and Business Showcase. If you explore further and follow one of those pages you can even narrow your search to just Places to Shop, Things To Do, Where To Eat, etc. We still have a few minor kinks that we are working on like adding a search option and there are still a few members to add or update – we’ve had 10 new members join us in the last few weeks and we’re working to make their listings live.

We hope that you will take a moment to Discover this fantastic new website, www.finditinWhiteHouse.com and let us know what you think. We’d also love it if you tell our members that you’ve seen the site and their listing. We know that this will be a valuable asset to our members and we will be promoting it heavily through tourist outlets too so everyone that ends up in our great City will know where to go to find what they’re looking for.

We’ve also completely revamped our website, www.whitehousechamber.org. It is more user friendly and current, the really hard thing about websites is they are close to outdated by the time you have completed the changes, it’s a little like driving the new car off the lot and then checking the resale price. We’re working to add value with a job listing page, and a community calendar that is open to anyone to post events on. When you visit, you’ll also see our Event tab that will take you to a list of current events that the Chamber presents and ways that you can participate. We’d love to hear your feedback on this site too, www.whitehousechamber.org

Another great member benefit is our annual Community Guide that our friends at the Connection produce and distribute for us. Last year’s guide was one of our best and this year’s is shaping up to be even better. In the Community Guide all of our members receive a listing in the directory and only members can choose to advertise. We use these throughout the year in relocation packets when people contact the Chamber for information on our City, provide additional copies to our Realtor friends to use as new residents move to the community and at the different Economic Development events we attend. It’s a great benefit that’s all part of membership. Ad sales for the Guide are wrapping up this week, so if you’ve been thinking about joining or placing an ad, now’s the perfect time. You can expect to see a lot about the very exciting Eclipse and our event Discover Totality that will be taking over our City on August 21, 2017.

If you would like more information on any of our events, benefits or services please contact the White House Area Chamber of Commerce at 615-672-3937, email us at whcoc@bellsouth.net or visit us at our temporary location in the City Hall concession stand at 105 College Street. Soon we’ll have more information on our renovated building and some of the new features that it will provide our members and the community.
