Candidate Forum & Reception

The White House Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a Candidate Forum and Reception in anticipation of the November election on Tuesday, November 6th. It will take place on Tuesday, October 16th from 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM at Billy S. Hobbs Municipal Center, 105 College Street White House, TN 37188 in the auditorium. The reception, 6:30 PM – 7:00 PM, will include a meet and greet with local and state candidates with light refreshments courtesy of Sam’s Club.  

The moderated forum will begin at 7:00 PM. This is the communities opportunity to stay informed and learn more about the candidates running for City of White House offices. Candidates from the City election, and state races, will be invited to introduce their platform from the stage. The forum for the mayoral candidates include current City Mayor Mike Arnold and his opponent Keith Futch. Candidates will be asked questions submitted from constituents on current topics affecting the community. All citizens are encouraged to attend the forum, submit questions, and educate themselves on the positions and experience that the candidates have before you go to the polls.

Early voting begins October 17th. Early voting satellite location for Sumner County residents will be at Billy S. Hobbs Municipal Center, 105 College Street White House, TN 37188 on October 29th. Election Day is November 6th.

At press time confirmed for this event are Farris Bibb, John Decker, and Michael Wall candidates for Alderman; Dr. Sabi Kumar and Larry Proffitt candidates for Tennessee State Representative, District 66; Senator Kerry Roberts, District 25.
